on my way back from the vet, i passed a crowd in front of bonsignour cafe. i couldn't figure out what everyone was there for . . and then i realized it was for the world cup. this is very new for us! football has always been the excitement for americans. i spoke with my nephew about it, and he agreed that it's a new following which he thinks stems from the influence of the internet.
this afternoon we decided to paint, as we haven't done so in a long time. i had picked up new watercolors from da vinci on 21st street; cobalt blue and vermillion red. we already had yellow.
chanda watched a watercolor technique online and practiced painting a tree.
morgana got into some deep purples and blues . .
it was a nice quiet late afternoon after a busy dance morning.
