eureka! (a post from the road)

i can't believe i'm back in california again. back in the land of beautiful brown and golden summertime hills.

our lunch time stop was at denny's in barstow, where it was 107 degrees F.

greg's lunch at denny's: some kind of soup (don't remember), grilled cheese and a strawberry shake.

a whole week has gone by, and with it so many miles and memories. at home a week flies. here it crawled and now has disappeared. i feel like alice on the other side of the looking glass.

it's good to walk through, but difficult to take the first step.

it's been difficult posting each night. either i'm falling asleep, or there's no internet service, or chanda is on her computer and doesn't want to give it up.

i'm actually only talking about three nights here!

there's plenty of pictures and some adventures and stories. i'll have to post when we're settled in san francisco and into a non-traveling rhythm.
