by the sea

greg and i picked up korrina early saturday morning for a visit with my sister and her family out at the house. it was a fun and relaxing weekend spent swimming and boogie boarding.

dishing up a delicious dinner of chicken curry made by my nephew . .

here we're on round two of the full three round game . . (first we act out the phrase, then we can use words to describe, followed by one word to describe in the final round).

waking up sunday morning to pluto at my feet . . notice the two warm blankets on the bed - that's how cold it was during the night . . very strange weather.

sunday was spent on the bay side . . 

we dropped korrina off to catch a 1:23 pm train (she had an early 6 am call for work monday morning and didn't want to get home too late) . . 

 

 

 and then drove back to the bay . . 

and got ready to wave to her as the train went by . .

the local ice cream store had their own ice cream truck come around and i bought a delicious cup of mint chip ice cream.

and pluto was finally comfortable enough to come out from beneath the bed . .

my sister and i walked around town on monday . . 

 

while my brother-in-law and nephews were at the ocean . . 

 

and adam made a sand sculpture . . 

and then in the evening we went for a swim at the bay . . 

red beans and quinoa chili for dinner . . 

adam found some old vhs videos that he played for us . . 

i guess we've always been playing charades . . here i am acting out a phrase with morgana, who is about four years old in this movie.

tuesday was spent at ditch boogie boarding . . 

 

playing more games . .

 

 

and surfing . .

taking a video of my nephew catching a wave . .

and then it was evening and time for greg and i to say good-bye and return home. we stopped in amagansett for the requisite dosa from hampton chutney where i found a concert going on . .
