florida has such beautiful beaches and a big, beautiful sky.

i think they went in for a swim, but a typical florida afternoon storm was coming up, so they soon headed back to the rooms.

chanda ended up irritating her injury from last october (when she fell on the stairwell at steps dance school). she was still able to dance, but refrained from working on pointe, and jumping. she met many nice girls at the intensive, including a childhood friend of another dance friend from home.

 chanda and greg visited sarasota so she could take a class with sarasota ballet's studio company and the upper level students. she was also invited to a company performance in the evening at the botanic garden.

after the morning class, they walked around town and visited the opera house, built in 1926.

the evening performance was a gala event! the studio company and upper class levels performed, and chanda was impressed with their work.

 after the gala they drove to grandma's house and visited the beach the next day.

flying home on saturday morning (they missed their initial flight and were lucky to get seats on the next one out!).
