after my afsc action hour (which happens at noon every friday), i met greg at the cafe up the street for a honey whipped latte and avocado toast (he worked from home today and had left before me to have lunch).
i couldn't finish it all and brought it back home for tomorrow.
the beautiful afternoon sky (i was walking home from the grocery store) . .
marisa called on wednesday to say that she and tsering were in town and they were going to try and visit lizette thursday afternoon. unfortunately, there was a tunnel fire that day on the long island rail road and they weren't able to take the train out to manhasset, so we might all go together in the car on sunday. this evening they came over for dinner. i made risotto with asparagus and they brought cheese and charcuterie (tsering always picks out the most delicious cheese - tonight they brought a stilton and appenzeller along with prosciutto and calabrese, all from zabar's uptown).
and strawberry jam tarts . .
