rainy day tuesday
it was nice listening to the rain all night and into this morning. it stopped around noon and morgana, chanda and i drove to sag harbor supplied with "granddaddy" cheese and onion sandwiches which we ate at haven's beach. we walked around town and looked into a few shops. we stopped at the variety store, and the stationery store where we bought a puzzle. we also found a dress shop with pants on sale which was good since m and c are always growing out of their pants and needing new ones. by the later afternoon, the sun had burned the fog away and it was rather steamy. we searched for a bookstore that was mentioned by the sag harbor librarian, but we couldn't find it. we did look at many beautiful houses along the way. we finally went home and i made peanut soup for dinner from a mollie katzen cookbook.

grey monday
it's a grey day today . . and cool.
we baked yesterday. i made granola and morgana and chanda made chocolate chip cookies.
greg went back home yesterday evening . .

a day at ditch
august is so busy here on montauk. ditch on weekends is packed. but i don't mind. surprisingly.
everyone is just so happy to be at the beach. swimming. boogie boarding. surfing. having fun.
