secret waters

kudos to c and m and camille for the costume! doesn't it flow beautifully?! c described what she wanted to camille. camille figured out how to make that idea work on the material, and she and m cut it out and stitched it together. c hemmed the neck and sleeves in the tiniest of stitches! (oh! and i dyed the silk!)

project update

the girls worked for about three hours on the costume today. it's really coming along and looks beautiful. c is looking forward to rehearsing in it tomorrow.

c has been very adamant about making a costume for her dance for ellen robbins, and i've been very apprehensive. i've been discussing it with m . . and realized that the most i can do for this project is dye the material and try to find someone to help design and sew. so today our friend camille came over, and the girls had a fun time cutting and fitting and stitching. more still needs to be done . . but i see c's vision now . . and i can't wait to watch her dance in it!
