greg and i went to check on the house this weekend. it was very grey and foggy and a little rainy for the first day and a half, but greg still mowed the lawn as he didn't think it was too wet. he did both the back and front this time and it went quickly as the grass was still quite short (thankfully). we visited the book fair at the library and got in a swim on sunday when the sun finally came out. we left early monday to miss the traffic and had fun visiting chanda at the cafe since we were back so early and she was still working.
last time they were out, my nephews cleaned up and put together two new beds they found on craig's list, and my sister had two of my photographs framed and hung.
at the library fair with the two books he found (waiting for me to finish checking out a few rick steve's dvds about sicily and turkey).
since our favorite seafood place closed at 8 pm, we tried a new taco place which had the sweetest back patio . .
(we ate at home, however, and played two rounds of rummy which he won).
----
at the beach (with a very old umbrella that thankfully did not blow away).
the water was so clear, cold and refreshing.
dinner from our favorite fish place: lobster bisque, kale caesar salad, sweet potato fries, cole slaw and fish and chips.
----
monday morning . .
it was nice to leave early and have hampton coffee still be open for egg sandwiches, muffins and coffee. we were well stocked for the drive home . .
back in the city . .
putting in an order . .
it was actually a slow day for them . . everyone was out of town (our neighborhood was wonderfully quiet).
iced mocha . .
sour dough toast with tahini, bananas, honey and mint and cinnamon.
and leftovers - again - later in the evening for dinner (i have to start making smaller portions, without chanda to help eat everything up, meals seemingly lasts for days).
