to daffodils
fair daffodils, we weep to see
you haste away so soon;
as yet the early-rising sun
has not attain'd his noon.
stay, stay,
until the hasting day
has run
but to the even-song;
and, having pray'd together, we
will go with you along.
we have short time to stay, as you,
we have as short a spring;
as quick a growth to meet decay,
as you, or anything.
we die
as your hours do, and dry
away,
like to the summer's rain;
or as the pearls of morning's dew,
ne'er to be found again. by robert herrick (1591-1674)

greg and i took a bookcase and several boxes out to korrina today. i wasn't sure that we could get the bookcase down the stairs properly (it was a bit heavy) or that it would fit in the car . . but all went well.
korrina crocheted an afghan with her stash yarn, mixing it with leftover skeins from past projects. it all came together so beautifully.
it was josh's birthday yesterday, so we decided to have brunch together at a local tibetan restaurant to celebrate.
we walked to dawa, where we've been a few times since covid started, once even with morgan.
korrina had thenthuk, tibetan pulled noodles, beef and daikon in a bone marrow broth. i had chicken sekuwa, which is nepalese chicken bbq with bara (a black lentil pancake) with a house made pickled radish. josh had beef momos (tibetan dumplings) and greg had a buttermilk chicken sandwich.
(with jalapeño aioli sauce and a side of chips)
heading home past calvary cemetery and the skyline in the west . .
kosciuszko bridge (named after polish military leader tadeusz kosciuszko who fought in the revolutionary war).
