chocolates and a latin lesson

i finished my last baci christmas chocolate this afternoon, with a glass of taylor's christmas spice tea, and chanda did a latin lesson and cosmic calculator math.

 a quill is good for italian too.

gaps ice cream: one can coconut milk, 3/4 cup water, 1/2 cup shredded coconut and 1/3 cup honey. put all into an ice cream maker and turn on for about 15 to 20 minutes. oh, it was good!

amelia's scarf

i finally finished blocking a scarf for morgana and chanda's friend. it's knitted from rowan's kidsilk haze yarn. it looks light and airy, but is quite warm.

it's really a quick and easy knit, so i've enjoyed making them for their friends this year. it takes me longer to finally get to blocking it. unfortunately, it can sit around for weeks . .

morgana ran off after working on her latin (she listens to linney's lecture and then writes the lesson in her notebook). she has a babysitting job, then a ballet class, and then chorus at third street at 6 pm. i'm just glad i don't have to run around with her anymore. i get tired just thinking of all she's doing.

the ballet bun. i don't have to do this anymore, either. of course, i never minded doing the ballet buns. i've always rather enjoyed it. in fact, i often say that's why i had chanda, just so i could do her ballet bun, since korrina never let me. ever since korrina started dancing ballet at eight years old, she has always done her own bun. well, now she doesn't do ballet anymore . . now she dyes her own hair . . red, purple, blue . .

and she makes ear muff bands. she made the one morgana is wearing here.
