amy loves good-byes

 we had lunch at gosman's . . 

 and then saw aunt kathy off on the viking superstar . . 

of course chanda and i had to get a swim in . .

at the clam bar

 korrina went home today, and chanda and i had dinner with nana and nonno at gosman's clam bar.

 it was a beautiful night, with a nice breeze and no mosquitoes.

 we just had to have some ice cream for dessert!

it was so nice to walk around with them and visit the shops.

 another late afternoon beach day . . 

korrina is working on her embroidery . . and chanda is reading children of the long house, by joseph bruchac . .

 

 and a quiet ditch plains . . 

 getting hungry! korrina requested seafood at gosman's clam bar . . 

 cod . . 

 and shrimp . . i think we all had the fisherman's platter which is a mix of shrimp, clam strips and cod.

 you have to watch out for these seagulls! they are very quick and will swipe your food in the wink of an eye.

 

 back at home . . playing montuak monopoly with nana . . (nonni didn't feel well, and didn't want to play may i).

hmm . . chanda looks like she just swallowed the canary. she must be winning.

friday at gosman's dock

we celebrated nonno's 87th birthday with a trip to gosman's dock and ice cream from john's.

 

 fish and chips . . fisherman's platter and shrimp and chips.

 morgana made the card from all of us (and my sister's family too).

 it was a marie callender's razzleberry pie . . which always reminds me of the boysenberry pie that my aunt evie would bring back from california.
