today we went to lombardi's to celebrate my birthday a few days early since morgan is to fly back to london tomorrow. we hadn't been in many years and it was fun to be there, but we were surprised they were making such small pies (you can see how large they once were
here). i think they had to downsize during covid, as the restaurant was half the size it used to be, and their large brick oven was no longer upstairs - all cooking was done in the basement. we had a great time, and everything was delicious . .
morgan and i had italian sodas: raspberry and vanilla (with whipped cream!)
we all shared a caesar salad . .
a clam pizza . .
and two margherita pizzas.
afterwards, we began walking to houston street to the subway, but then realized it would be fun to have ice cream before everyone headed to their respective abodes . .

it was such a fun night . . i didn't want it to end.
