this is just about before i finished clue 2. i'm now ready to begin clue 3b . .
i love how the wine colored tints come out in the light . .
i've been reading doing psychoanalysis in tehran, by gohar homayounpour. it's very interesting and i find her writing honest and pertinent. here's a quote from page 53 which i thought my friend san would enjoy reading, as it seems to always be grey and rainy whenever i check the weather on my phone for her town:
this is one of the most treasured characteristics of my city: the sun is always there, every morning, like a fathful lover. i once asked a british friend: "why did you choose to live in tehran?"
she said, "because of the sun; you people take it for granted. do you know what it means for a londoner to have sunny days, every day of the year, day in and day out? no, you do not know; you've always had it; you expect it, you do not even get disappointed if it is not there one day; you find the rain romantic. you say: 'good, we have rain; the country needs water.' you know you can afford to make such grandiose comments because you know the sun always comes back to you. i hate the rain; i would rather watch my whole country dry up than ever see a drop of rain again. does that answer your question? i moved to tehran for the sun! i do not want any of the privileges london has to offer if it means having to tolerate rain, rain, and more rain."
