greg and i took a walk today specifically to the chobani store in soho. along the way we passed this tree and i thought it was so pretty that we tried to read the tag that was on it with greg's phone, hoping we could tell what it was. but, that didn't work. (i looked it up on the nyc tree map just now as i'm writing this post, and it's an eastern redbud, which is what i first thought when passing it. i had just never seen a white blossomed redbud before.)
we just continued on our way along bedford street . .
protect the vulnerable . . .
everyone was out dining . .
waiting for our chobani order . .
walking to versuvio park to sit and have our treats . .
i decided to get the gelato at vesuvio bakery instead of the yogurt from chobani. they swirl olive oil on the vanilla gelato with sea salt flakes and a chocolate hazelnut biscotti . . !!!! it's incredibly delicious and greg agreed he would have to try it next time.
we had fun watching the workers across the street who were setting up an outdoor dining shed . . we thought things looked a little funky monkey (an expression our old landlord used to like to say).
greg got to finish my ice cream.
we just happened to be near spring street, so we visited trader joe's . .
to buy butter. it's double the price everywhere else (organic butter).
walking home . .
i thought the sticker on this car was funny . .
we passed cherry lane theatre . .
which had some old photos up of sam shepherd and his play true west, which played here from october 1982 to august 1984.
we played two hands of may i with chanda after dinner. greg ended up having the least amount of points . .
