the moon and lasagna

 

 there was a beautiful little slipper of a moon outside this evening.

 i made a delicious lasagna from one of giada's cookbooks.

coming home from chanda's violin lesson, we saw the moon as we were crossing 7th avenue. it was a beautiful silver slipper of a moon.

tuesdays are turning out to be our ice skating day. we traveled to bryant park again today to meet with friends and skate. the weather was beautiful . . sunny and just cool enough to be comfortable, though the ice was a bit wet. i guess we could use colder weather for the ice!

next week is chanda's birthday and we're having it at the ice rink here. i decided to make it early so as to miss some of the school groups that come in around 11 am. i hope everyone doesn't mind getting up so early! it is nice being there before the major crowds come in.

tomorrow morning, morgana, chanda and i are taking advantage of the daylight savings time. we need to get up at 5:30 and leave at 6:30 am to be at a school for a beliloveable performance. they are dancing at the brearley school's 8 am assembly. the brearley school is located between east end avenue and FDR drive. that's a good five long blocks from the lexington avenue subway. it shall be quite an invigorating walk . . i wonder what the wind is like over there by the east river . . if it's anything like the hudson, it can be cold.
