picking up the veggie box

by the time i arrived at the bellevue hospital fresh food box site, chanda was already there and korrina had picked out her vegetables. (i was delayed talking with a neighbor about a stray cat that has been staying in our courtyard.)

there was a new salad on the menu today . .

fresh cauliflower in a vinaigrette with a mustard mayo aioli, almonds, cucumber and fresh dill, which (of course) was absolutely delicious.

since the season is changing the mulled cider was no longer offered so all of us had coffee.

korrina started the hemlock ring blanket with three different yarns, two of which are sturbridge skeins (one is a gorgeous claret color that i love).

her adorable stitch holder . .

chanda and i walked home via first avenue and turned west at 11th street (after getting some coconut water at the commodities health food store) . .

we couldn't resist a stop at tulu's gluten free bakery for miniature cupcakes.

we then walked past third street music school . .

where we used to spend a lot of time . . she still visits once a week with the little girl she babysits for who is taking piano lessons there.
