i walked the high line to chelsea market to buy shrimp at the lobster place for dinner tonight.
i also met my friend janet at grounded cafe for a green tea and a chat. we hadn't seen each other in over a month. she's so busy with her costuming projects (she's currently working on three different shows) and we also miss meeting for a hot chocolate at the chocolate bar (which closed several years ago . . it was always a good impetus to get out to see each other).
waiting for janet while sitting on the bench in front of the cafe . .
it felt cold, since the temperature had slipped down into the upper '20's and the wind was blowing off the river.
at home i finally got chanda to pose with my finished igagasi shawl. this was completed in . . october i think.
the yarn is plant dyed by am at oysters and purls.
the yarn is an australian merino and i think may have been dyed with avocado skins with a touch of iron.
it was part of the igagasi shawl kit, pattern by clare devine, and handmade project bag by kelly at seaworthylife. (i need to redo this post on my ravely account.)
this is one of the latest fads in ballet class . .
i love the color! (called "noor.")
in class this afternoon . . at steps with her teacher charla.

Beautiful work! I also think the color is very pretty. Funny, the way you "have to" wear the scarf at ballet. It does not look so comfortable for dancing . . .
