one of my family's favorite holiday movies is a christmas story by jean shepherd (well, except for chanda). last year when i was walking home with her and morgana after a nutcracker performance, i passed this leg lamp in a window on twelfth street, and then it disappeared and i couldn't find it again. this past saturday, the fourteenth, i happened to walk along twelfth street on my way to get chanda a sandwich before her ballet school's nutcracker performance, and there it was! we passed it again on our way home with our friends . . wondering how the leg lamp factors into the story . . ? you'll have to watch the movie!

Yes, San. The weather here is now very warm. It's jumping around. It'll be difficult when it gets cold again. Morgana still has a raspy voice, but she's feeling a little better every day.
