we left early this morning to return home as morgana and chanda had rehearsals today; morgana for the family matters and sokolow shows, and chanda for the patrelle nutcracker. we had wanted to stop at the coop, but we are once again suspended! so i think we'll pick up a few things for the week at whole foods tomorrow morning. we'll go to the one by michaels uptown as i need to get pearl floss for the craft fair heart sachets.
these pictures were taken on friday at hotel beach. we had a fun time eating a lot of food this weekend, walking along the beach, and playing cards and "catch phrase."
it's always difficult for me to leave, get settled somewhere new, and then leave again . . maybe i'm just getting old . .

we celebrated advent this evening. after greg and i unloaded the car and had taken care of the dog and cats, he left to meet chanda and i put up the lights in the windows, set out the wooden advent circle and the christmas count-down candle, and laid out new silks on the nature table for the shells and bones of the first advent night. we had left-over lentil soup from nana and started reading holly and ivy by rumer godden. it's a sweet story that chanda asked to read this evening, but we were all too tired to read it completely.
Happy Advent to you all! I cannot believe you have been suspended again, it seems incredibly harsh.
