third sunday

 we've been having dinner with just the advent candles lit. someone always comments that they can't see what their eating. and this is true. you can't.

 today was . . quiet! i had nowhere to go . . . and that was blissful!

first i finished reading holly and ivy while morgana and chanda knitted.

and then morgana and i knitted while watching jean shepherd's a christmas story, while chanda worked on her christmas cards for her ballet teacher, and her ballet school's director.

first she stole a bite of her dad's toast . . 

 she had to work quickly as she needed to get the cards to the theatre before the show began today. her school divided the shows up between the students and chanda was in cast a. today casts b and c were performing.

this one was for her ballet teacher. 

after a dinner of barley soup, we had hot chocolate and butter cookies that our friends gave us in the summertime. i've been saving them for the holidays.
