some stories are so familiar, it's like going home.

i found the lost queen of egypt by lucile morrison in my public library when i was about twelve years old. i must have checked it out and taken it home to read every year after that until i left for college. it's been out of print for many, many years now, and trying to buy a used one has been difficult as the few that were around were pricey. santa must have found a good deal, for this was under the tree yesterday. morgana and chanda are pleased to be able to finish the story. we had started it in the rose room at the new york public library, and had never finished it. it was a book that wasn't permitted to leave the premises. it's nice to add it to our shelves.

That is terrific that you have your own copy now Our library system has a copy, but that copy is allowed to travel and we have had it here, but I have to admit we haven't had a chance to read it.
