morgana at the met

morgana took a week long met class over the summer during the last week of july. this evening there was a reception in the met's education center showcasing the students' work that was created during that time. all pieces were matted and framed and hung on the walls leading to the education center's studios.

one of their assignments was to create an art piece based on a poem: t. s. elliot's burnt norton. morgana chose to work with each line individually.

talking with the visitors about the work.

it was nice to hear the program coordinator speak with enthusiasm about the students, the teachers and the classes. greg and i also got to meet morgana's teacher who she has raved about to us.

afterwards, we visited the greek and roman galleries and the neapolitan baroque christmas tree.

and then it was time for me to meet chanda and to attend the dances patrelle gala, and for morgana to return downtown with greg for an anna sokolow way performance.
