we went on our annual lille julaften expedition to ferrara's today. it was cold, but the sun was shining and so it felt warmer than yesterday.
tre colori and pignoli cookies . .
morgana and i and korrina had cookies, while greg and chanda had canolis . .
and hot chocolate and cappucino.
korrina finished her liesl made out of a few skeins of malabrigo yarn. it looks so beautiful. i'm a bit disgruntled. i messed up my green liesl. the arms are different lengths and i need to take one side out to lengthen it.
after ferrara's, we separated and ran different errands. morgana, chanda and i went to faicco's for our antipasta for tomorrow and tuesday.
at home we put the finishing touches on the bench and hooks and table by the front door. this area has been a "junk" heap since september. the remaining bags were finally taken to salvation army . . yesterday! morgana put togther the bench from ikea several days ago with chanda's help.
hermione is very happy with it.
we celebrated the fourth sunday of advent and sang people look east and good king wenceslas,
and decorated the christmas tree. i always feel relieved when the tree is finally decorated.

i'd forgotten about your tradition for little christmas eve, so lovely! Korrina's liesl looks lovely, i'd begun another one but messed up around the arm area, cannot figure out why, so i've put it on hold until after christmas.
