it's been cold again, and it's still very grey outside. this morning we had a warming breakfast of steel cut oats with brown sugar and cream.
our friend marlene gave us a gingerbread house from veniero's. we immediately all went for the gumdrops after breakfast.
morgana and chanda cut out butter cookies this afternoon.
this batch is under lock and key until christmas!
korrina's show had it's final performance last night. she misses it and feels a little at loose ends, though she has started rehearsals for another show (a homeschooling production of guys and dolls). but her nights are suddenly free again. the cast gave her this hat.
she was pleased!
we spent the evening at our friend's solstice party, and had a fun time playing games and talking. when we got home and were ready for bed, we read one of our favorite holiday tales: the story of holly and ivy.
