costume and birthday preparations . . and bleeding hearts

the bleeding hearts are in bloom.

morgana was busy ironing the dress for her dance today. she also helped chanda with the silk chiffon tunic she will wear. they both went over to their friend camille's house to finish sewing the pieces.

sewing and ironing the silk chiffon is not easy.

 dyeing it "milling blue . . "

 i asked chanda to please compost the dead flowers . . instead i found them scattered along the piano.

she wrapped all of morgana's gifts for me. i guess i can't complain. jack certainly wasn't much of a help. i have no idea what he is lying on here.

 

it's late right now. i've been finishing the dyeing. i did chanda's silk chiffon tunic in green; the nylon capris in golden brown; and the cotton tank leotard in light brown. and thank goodness i don't need to make a birthday cake. we're having the delicious key lime pie from the coop. greg went shopping today.
