we went to a bat mitzvah celebration this morning. i even wore a skirt i found with chanda (on our way to ballet) on a sidewalk used clothing rack on houston street yesterday, and greg wore a tie . . and a souvenir yarmelke.
we were early to the temple . . 10 am. and it ended at 12:30. it was very beautiful, and their friend ella sang with a lovely strong and sweet voice. and, of course, the reception afterwards was also wonderful with so much delicious food!
on the way home, morgana, chanda and i rode the train to franklin street to stop at aljo dye shop to buy dyes for their costumes. it's a fun place to go, and whoever is there is always very helpful.
these are pictures of the fingerless gloves morgana made for ella. chanda made a very pretty headband which was wrapped quicker than i could take a pictures. and korrina picked up a beautiful felt dove kit for her to sew at purl soho. the mohair scarf i was working on got wrapped ON the needles . . not a perfect situation! it'll be returned to me later in the week and i will quickly finish it up!

Catching up again *smiles*... so glad you had a lovely time at the bat mitzvah celebration, you're always behind the camera so no shot of you in your thrifted skirt!! I love thrift shops!
ReplyDeleteWell done to Chanda and big hugs for coping with the audition, plus all her other dance commitments. I bet the herbal bath was a real treat for her poor feet, they must've been incredibly sore.
Loved the herbal foraging with friends.
Have a good week, love to you all
