gluten free pancakes and breakfast sausage from the local butcher.
it's the morning of the show, so it must be poster making time (i'm rolling my eyes . . i'm not a fan of making posters on the last minute) . .
. . after which chanda ran off to the theatre . .
and my sister arrived with my brother-in-law. greg and i took them past the verizon crew who were working to reinstate wifi to chelsea and the west village.
a construction crew had been welding two large plates together to cover a repair hole in the road, when sparks flew down a manhole and ignited the fios cables. don't ask exactly how that happened, because i think one would need to see it to believe it. wifi was out for five days.
(just some random crowd photos thrown in here . . )
greg is explaining how the cables need to be replaced from fifteenth street to seventeenth street . . what's funny is that every time he went to check on the work, he met our engineering neighbor who was also checking on the work.
we walked from here to the theatre on 19th street, between 8th and 7th avenues.
