this morning greg rearranged the many play books we have and put them all in one section on the bookcase closest to the piano. it's nice having a "theatre" section of books.
after charlotte returned from mass at our lady of pompeii on carmine street, we had german pancakes and then played "may i." (she said it was a very quiet mass; we figured that everyone must attend the 12:15 instead of the 9 am).
at around 1:30 pm chanda walked charlotte over to the american ballet theatre building for the summer intensive audition. she was also supposed to attend, but decided not to as her foot still hasn't properly healed. after making french chocolates at home, i met greg at barnes and noble . .
and we walked past the jeff koons balloon bunny at astor place . .
to b and h dairy for lunch (home fries and vegetarian barley soup).
nicholas figueroa way and moises locon way, named in memorial for the two men who died in the 2015 gas explosion. b and h dairy almost went under during that time, but, thankfully, with some neighborhood help they managed to stay in business. you can read about it in this new york times article.

the delicious dinner chanda made: beef and spinach curry with cauliflower rice from madeleine shaw's cookbook, ready, steady, glow (it's lamb and spinach curry in the book, but she substituted beef). charlotte said her audition went well, though there were a lot of dancers and the line for registration extended out the front door when she arrived.
