we visited hotel beach today, to see how the storm was whipping up the sea . .
a lot of rain fell early this morning, creating terrible flooding for long island. islip recorded 13. 57' breaking the record during hurricane irene. (1.08" within 9 minutes from 5:39 am to 5:47 am.)
the surf was rather wild.
