on the way home from chelsea market

a forest pansy redbud tree with very young buds . . they looked . . martian to me!

"nose job" by andra ursuta (romanian artist) . . white marble nose in a wheelbarrow . . the artist says it references greek statues and gogol's the nose. the piece is part of a group of ten installations on the high line called "busted," playing with the idea of public monuments.

korrina met me to help carry the bags of groceries home from chelsea market (she fixed the camera setting for me for the first photo . . which is why it came out so nicely. i really need to read up on that . . )

  1. Much more green than here. I love the redbuds. We have a few on campus, but they are not open yet.
