chanda and i visited american girl place this afternoon. we hadn't been there in awhile.
we were there for tea, and had little tea sandwiches (chicken salad, pig in a blanket, pizza pocket) and lots of sweets. our favorite is always the chocolate mousse served in a flower pot at the end.
they had redecorated the bathroom . . .
i think this doll's name is julie . . she is one of the historical dolls and her time period is the 1970's!!!! yes, that's my time period . . and it does feel odd to be considered "historical!!" by the way, i never did have a banana seat bike (i had an old hand me down bike that must have been assembled in the 1950's or early 60's) and most of the clothes i wore didn't look like the ones in the window either . .
however . . !!!! i did have a record player like the one on the left, and i did get a tape recorder just like the one in the center! it was one of my favorite birthday gifts and i clearly remember a hot summer night spent recording my friend sherri and her dad out on their back porch while the crickets chirped and the fireflies twinkled.

we decided to stop at the schwarzman library to see if the children's section had a redwall book chanda has been looking for. i noticed that the building is looking particularly beautiful . . they recently finished cleaning it.
i really think it looks impressive. the lions do also . . i'll have to photograph them next time i go by ..

dinner time . . chanda and i picked up potato gnocchi and pesto sauce at murray's . .
and korrina had dinner with us . . before running off somewhere?
