i've been working on knitting projects and also finished a sewing project that i had begun over a year ago: two pillowcases. when i pulled these cases out yesterday, i saw that one case was completely finished. i decided to finish the second one, but i was impatient and didn't do as good of a job. i've never been the most talented at sewing, and have never enjoyed it very much. i do like knitting better. also, i've never been successful at setting up my bobbin correctly on the sewing machine i own, so i when i began the pillowcases, i decided to hand sew them; thus, my impatience with finishing this project!
i hear rain pattering on the windowpane now. it was a very pretty day and i was happy that the sun finally shone. greg was funny. he has been complaining that there haven't been enough sunny days, but he didn't go outside at lunch today. he did complain this morning, before leaving for work, that he heard it was supposed to rain tonight. i wonder if it will still be raining in the morning? it's 11:30 pm right now. i wish it was snowing!
pluto is my constant companion. he follows me around all day, asking to be fed. he always asks for more immediately after finishing what i've put down for him. if i let him, he would eat until he burst . . perhaps it's part of his cerebellar hypoplasia; this inability to know when he is full.

i put up two posts from this weekend . . saturday's excusion to the ballet, and a sunday walk with greg.
