it was such a beautiful, sunny day today, and this evening the temperature has gone down to 21. marisa came over to knit a bit with me and we went over the pattern directions for the sleeves of the sweater she's working on. though the pattern claims to be beginner friendly, there were important steps to look up that weren't clear from the instructions; and even though we both think everything has been fixed (she ripped out several times!) and she is now working correctly, there are still two gaps where the sleeve stitches are on holders that are very large. i tried to dispel any worries by saying that when she picks up the stitches again to knit the sleeves, she can pull these holes closed. of course, i haven't made all that many sweaters myself, so i wouldn't want to be quoted on this.
greg and i spent a quiet evening at home, until our new upstairs neighbor returned to their apartment after doing whatever it is they do during the day. yes, we have a new neighbor and this person makes our old neighbor seem like a quiet little dormouse. i really don't have any more information on this person than that, but i'll keep you posted!
happy valentine's day . .

Oh, oh, I hope the new person does not turn out to be a problem . . .
