celebrating valentine's day

we celebrated valentine's day with chocolates from the valentine fairies, and chocolates left for our neighbor on her door. while it was still morning we read ann tompert's st. valentine, and then our friends came over for tea and soup. after they left, we didn't quite know what to do with ourselves. i think chanda did some math and handwriting, and then knit on her sweater while listening to narnia. morgana worked on her guitar . . and latin before leaving for ballet. korrina got ready for playwriting . . (she was meeting the class at the lucille lortel theatre on christopher street to see a play together). i cleaned the kitchen . . then took chanda downtown to her ballet class. when we got home she wasn't feeling well and crawled into my bed to knit a little more. jack finally settled down next to her after fighting with her for a spot.

  1. Is Chanda sick with another virus or has the tree massacre weakened her spirits? She looks so sad in that photo.

Thinking of you all... the valentines looked lovely, "love conquers everything" sometimes we need to hold on to that, when life stuff is dragging us down, eh?

    Big hugs San xx

  3. Happy, happy Valentine's Day to you all! I read about the trees and will comment soon. Right now I need to sleep -- I have developped some very bad bedtime habits. Need to work on this!

Love to you and your family.
