two degrees cooler

m and c and i began the day with a walk on the high line to la bergamote to meet friends who stayed in the city overnight.

there was a slight cool breeze from the river, and the blue and green early morning colors felt cooling also.

we passed a tour group. i'm sure they were speaking french, but i don't know what flag the guide is holding.

at la bergamote.

earl grey tea and chocolate mousse. air conditioning can be so sweet. chanda and i enjoyed sitting and reading after the others left for class.

late in the afternoon we met our friends at the water park who had just returned from chicago. they came home at 1:30 am and couldn't believe how hot it was.

they cooled off in the water, but by the time chanda got home, she was ready for a cold shower. it's just . . hot.
