practicing ballet and reading

this morning chanda and morgana practiced their pointe work . .

it's easiest in the kitchen on the linoleum, rather than the rug. but it's still not the best.

in the afternoon i went uptown with morgana to her open ballet class at BAE with melissa rodnon. while she danced, i went for a walk and ended up at andre's cafe, one of my favorite places. i read a commissario brunetti mystery book while having a prune danish and tea.

in the evening, at home, morgana read a book about frontier living that she first saw at the plainedge public library in massapequa. we usually stop there to use the restroom on our way to and from montauk (it's a good halfway point).

i ordered it from our library . . it looks interesting and very informative . .

and chanda read a brian jacques' novel, one of the redwall books.

we then enjoyed a round of authors . . nana and i used to play this often when i was young.

after chanda won, it was time for tea.

or rather . . milk . . with pie. it's leftover strawberry rhubarb pie that morgana and i bought from duane park patisserie yesterday while on lunch break from chanda's observation day.
