usually it's cricket who perches on the tip of the scratching post, but this morning zuzu surprised us and jumped up.
showing morgan my vision therapy tranaglyphic card which helps train my eyes to work better together (my left eye has started turning inward - when one or both of the eyes turns inward or outward it's called heterophoria).
i attended a holiday party at the center hoping to get to know the other volunteers and staff members better. there was a white elephant game and ornament decorating and from some of the conversation i heard, this was the first year they had such an elaborate party (chocolate babka and pizza were also served . . interesting combination but quite yummy!). i brought chocolate covered almonds from burdick for the white elephant game, which i opted to just watch. a fellow foster volunteer sitting next to me decided to play and i realize just now that she was the person who filled in for me! she didn't realize that in order to play, one was supposed to bring a gift. she really enjoyed the game and received a cute aloe plant in a white elephant planter and was very happy with it. serendipity.
a happy dog going for a walk . .
don't they look gorgeous! morgana and i decided that they were the best we had ever made . . and i think it was because i finally used fresh yeast and not the years old packets i usually have laying around in the kitchen drawers.
delicious stew made by morgan . .
