christmas day

the sun was shining this morning and it was very cold out . .

greg prefers not sharing his panettone with cricket . .

zuzu is very interested in all the excitement . .

i'm looking forward to reading this book myself . . (the grid, by gretchen bakke)

and korrina is looking forward to reading this when greg is done (london clay, by tom chivers).

i've been commenting about how fun it would be to have a cappuccino foam maker, and morgan found one online at the last minute . .

hmmm . . cricket thinks it's very nice too.

"poe-ka" dots . . one of my favorite finds at the new york public library gift shop for josh . .

we all enjoyed watching each other open the gifts we had picked out . .

or the ones that were handmade, like this one from korrina to morgana.

uh oh! cricket is very much into the christmas consumer spirit of enjoying one's gifts in a very visceral way.

there were some very loud exclamations when this was opened . . (thank you san) . .

a brisk walk . . (17 degrees F) . .

ending the night with caroling around the christmas tree . .

merry christmas . .

  2. What a cozy day and even some real candles? I saw "London Clay" while in London. I thought it looked interesting, but we already had too many books . . . Beautiful singing! Did the cats try to jump into the tree? And so many thoughtful presents :).

    1. Thankfully, the cats stayed out of the tree, and I love singing a few songs with the candles lit.

    2. I think it is much more festive to sing with candlelight!
