wednesday night update . .

 

 greg and i were at my sister's for a week taking care of her cat while she and my brother-in-law were away (their regular cat sitters weren't available). we were also getting our car fixed with their auto mechanic and since he was waiting for a part and trying to troubleshoot a problem with the car, we were a day late returning. so we only got back last night and then after unloading the car, we were out again and on our way to la guardia airport to pick up a visitor. she had missed her connecting flight and so arrived a little later than planned . . 11:30. i think we were back at the apartment around 12:30 . . but then i cleaned the kitchen as it was rather upside down and so didn't get to bed until . . very late which was really very early this morning (morgan had cleaned the bathroom and set up the guest room for our friend - we had been clearing closets and drawers so there was a lot of confusion and clutter but morgan did a great job straightening up). and then today morgan and i walked all around the neighborhood showing our guest the sights. we also played a round of may i this evening, so it's been fun but now i am very tired!

p.s. i heard it was quite warm in the city while we were away, but now the weather has turned and is more like connecticut and the days are very chilly.
