saturday morning greg, morgana and i drove out via the koscuisko bridge and the expressway for a montauk visit. the afternoon was spent mowing the lawn with a delicious dinner from hooked (fish tacos); then this morning we went to the fireman's fundraiser breakfast. they were a little slow with serving us and the couple next to us! we finally had to go up to several young people just hanging around the kitchen area and remind them that we hadn't received our food yet! thankfully, the pancakes were delicious, as was the coffee and orange juice. afterwards, we drove to the cute little cove beach. the sky was incredibly blue and the air so clear, we could see the outline of connecticut across the bay. it was also quite chilly, which kept us from going for a swim. it felt so wonderful and refreshing to be out in the salt air, though, and after visiting gosman's and ditch, we warmed up at the coffee shop once know as coffeetauk, now known as left hand coffee. later, on the way home, we stopped in east hampton to show morgan the new location for hampton chutney, and to have some dosas!
