i'm excited that my cactus is flowering. i've never had a cactus plant bloom for me before, so this feels very special . . and it's not that i've been very good at taking care of it! every once in a blue moon i give it water . . and that's all. i never even transplanted it from it's tiny little plastic container that it came home in.
since i've returned from upstate, it's been hot and humid. tuesday night the humidity went up to 90%, and it was 85 degrees . . which wasn't pleasant. tonight it's 75% and 78 degrees, which feels much better; there's also a cool breeze.
This is so pretty! Maybe it is the right type of weather for cacti. It has been awful here too. Hopefully, tomorrow it will get a bit better.
