sunday readings and a walk

somos el barco

somos el barco, somos el mar,
yo navego en ti, tu navegas en mi.
we are the boat, we are the sea,
i sail in you, you sail in me.

the stream sings it to the river,
the river sings it to the sea,
the sea sings it to the boat,
that carries you and me.

(chorus)

the boat we are sailing in,
was built by many hands,
and the sea we are sailing on,
it touches every land.

(chorus)

so with our hopes we set the sails,
and face the winds once more,
and with our hearts we chart,
the waters never sailed before.

it's been a few weeks since i've been home to listen to first unitarian's sunday service. greg and i joined in this morning and i enjoyed singing somos el barco. this is peter, paul and mary singing above, from a concert in the not too distant past . . i think.

brunch . .

greg and i took a walk along the river, but didn't stay too long as there were quite a number of joggers and walkers. it was just a bit too crowded. we prefer the shady and quieter side streets.

when we left we met kendall and little aurélien just starting out. it was fun to run into them.

just some of the outdoor tents and tables we see everywhere now.

----

dinner tonight was cod fish with a butter mustard sauce and roasted green beans.

sunset . . it's been hot, but not very humid, which keeps life bearable.
Somos el barco, somos el mar,
Yo navego en ti, tu navegas en mi.
We are the boat, we are the sea,
I sail in you, you sail in me.som
Somos el barco, somos el mar,
Yo navego en ti, tu navegas en mi.
We are the boat, we are the sea,
I sail in you, you sail in me.
Somos el barco, somos el mar,
Yo navego en ti, tu navegas en mi.
We are the boat, we are the sea,
I sail in you, you sail in me.

  1. YI have to listen to your music tomorrow, I am quite tired now. Your walk looks nice, though.
