mother's day sunday -- week nine

chanda, korrina and morgana surprised me with lilacs this morning. chanda had gone out early to pick them out at abingdon deli.

i love lilacs. my neighbor when i was little (a very elderly man at the time, who had been a colonel in the army) would send me home to my mom with an armload that i could barely see over. they were so fragrant and beautiful. his bushes were tall trees overflowing with blossoms each year.

first brooklyn's music director arranged a special song with the choir for mother's day  . .

i sometimes knit while listening to sunday service, and pluto sometimes snoops around for strands of yarn to chew on . .

lilacs . . and me . .

afterwards, we all met up via zoom.

and brunch was french toast with a fried egg and smoked bacon, and cuppuccino for chanda and i.

    1. Thank you, Eva :) I was surprised at the size of the choir . . it seems larger on the screen than in the church!
