it's ballet observation week at chanda's ballet school.
it was a hot day (82 which no one is accustomed to yet) and several of the students wanted to put the air conditioning on. however, it never really works very well and miss irene, their teacher, said the heat was good for their muscles anyway. there were only a few groans . .

for the end of year recital the school is doing different pieces from fantasia. chanda's teacher has choreographed broomsticks and pastorale. she's given a few of her students small solo roles. this is chanda's.
