the new onesie and a beautiful day for a walk

 
here she is in the new onesie. the only problem is that this one covers more of her bottom so that she can't use the kitty litter without unsnapping it . . fortunately, this morning she did everything while wearing the pink and white one (it's just that she can slip out of the pink and white too easily).

well, it was absolutely a beautiful day so i ended up visiting three stores from which i needed things (whole foods, trader joe's and east village organic). chanda stayed home with the cats and to check on zuzu periodically, and i traipsed cross town.

everyone was out enjoying the weather . . 

and of course i was totally overdressed and way too warm (it went up to 75 or so!)

and i stopped at abraço for coffee and a blueberry cornbread - where i used to meet korrina before she went into work. i texted her my lunch and she wrote back:

it looks like she was having a yummy liverwurst with onions and sprouts. she was off today and was busy with laundry and some chores and also finding time to sit in the warm sunshine.

the birdhouse in the fig tree outside the cafe . . 

daffodils? this is in the little island where the sunflowers grow on first avenue . .

and good news that hampton chutney has opened up downtown again! they had closed during covid. a lot of locals are very happy about this.

i couldn't resist picking up a mango lassi to share with chanda at home.
