poem on a hot summer sunday and sunday dessert

in the mountains on a summer day

gently i stir a white feather fan,
with open shirt sitting in a green wood.
i take off my cap and hang it on a jutting stone;
a wind from the pine-trees trickles on my bare head.

it's been very warm these past few days . . today it's supposed to go up to 96 again . . fortunately, it's cooled down to the middle 70's at night with a good breeze. we had put the air on yesterday for when jeanette and tony were here, but then turned it off before going to sleep.

above is pluto lolling about on a hot afternoon . .

----

leftover dessert from yesterday . .

our old shoe bin has finally collapsed and is very wobbly . .

but zuzu doesn't care.

  1. We have our fans running, but now it is much nicer again. Pretty poem and very appropriate!

    1. I'm trying to find something similar, but it's difficult! Most are metal or plastic.
