pre-school recital

it was an end of school year play this morning . . all two minutes of the hungry caterpillar! perfect timing for rambunctious and antsy three year olds. they were all adorable and having a fun time.

bows . .

heading home i passed a large rat in front of an apartment building, indicating non-union workers had been hired.

i also passed a beautiful hydrangea bush.

dinner tonight was monk fish and fresh tuna fish with a salad . . chanda was checking her teacher's book for information on the density of water (and ice) and methane which comprises one of the first chapters in the book (comparing earth and titan - methane being a gas on earth but a liquid on titan at a surface temperature of -179 degrees celsius or -290 degree fahrenheit).

it looks like a very interesting book . .

  1. The water book does look interesting! My grandmother always said that problems with water will grow and grow. She made sure she never used too much water for dishes, baths, etc. The flowers are beautiful! Why do you need to put that rat there? And Aurélien's group is too cute! Great cooking!

    1. Your grandmother was so smart and prescient! Isn't the rat funny? Development projects that hire non-union labor are treated to a big rat outside their workplace, placed there by the workers' Union.
