taco tuesday, a new commute and phase one begins

greg loves taco tuesday . .

korrina has a new commute . . she's going into work to help break up the kitchen as they won't be reopening, and she is also volunteering at a food distribution charity downtown . . she helps cook the meals that are delivered to different housing developments, i think. she takes her bicycle to the ferry . . it's so rejuvenating to be out on the river.

new york city officially began phase one of reopening yesterday. all construction is now allowed to continue (and i hear it across the courtyard as work has begun once again on a ground floor apartment); hunting and fishing in parks is again allowed; manufacturing and wholesale trade begins again (with proper physical distancing and mask wearing), and retail is permitted for curbside pickup or in-store pick up or drop off with proper mask wearing. many restaurants in our neighborhood have reopened for take out, with chairs arranged outside for customers to sit and wait for their food (of course they have drinks during this waiting period! i love how loosey goosey everything is, but i do appreciate how everyone is conscientious about wearing masks . . yes, the masks are pulled down to talk, but people keep their distance).
