we used the beeswax sheets leftover from the craft fair and melted them down to pour into walnut shell halves. i first had to bake the walnuts at 250 degrees for about 28 to 30 minutes. we then tried to slit them open with a slim knife so that both halves were whole and even.
Happy belated Candlemas! Your candles are so pretty. Yes, baking the nuts does help when trying to get two even halves.
