having a morning coffee while the days melt away . . it was a day of running errands and doing laundry and it seemed to fly by and grow dark very quickly . .
so it was nice to mark the occasion at my friend's solstice party.
it was an especially nice gathering of homeschooling moms who never get to meet anymore, as our children are grown . . we made plans to get together in january for a crafting date. we all miss attending the december craft fair.
heading home to bake gingerbread and get some sleep . .
tomorrow morning is the christmas tree expedition.

Peter keeps pointing out every morning that the days are getting longer! Of course, you cannot see that so far.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't been able to tell yet . .
DeleteI think he is just making fun of it all :)!
DeleteHa ha, yes, that's true. Of course you probably could tell by looking at one particular clock each morning and evening and taking into account the clouds in the sky . . but not perceptible to the eye yet . . I think it would be easier by you . . there are many buildings in the way here . .
DeleteThat is probably true, about the fewer buildings. Peter was very surprised when we told him that the sun does not rise and set in the same spot throughout the year . . . I think anything having to do with the sky, moon, and stars, is beyond his interest.
